There's a type of guy whose only contribution at work is sheer volume of outputs, whether or not they serve any purpose. AI tools ask us, "what if everyone could be that guy?"

It would suck! A lot!

Scaling up trash only makes more trash. Work that doesn't pave a road to a better system is waste.

Yeah I'm dreading even thinking of migrating off SF. There was apparently a move here from multiple Access DBs -> Raisers Edge -> SF and I'm still finding errors from those migrations.

After years of advocacy and growing awareness of Columbus’s human rights abuses, some states and cities switched to celebrating Indigenous Peoples Day. Now, we are witnessing the backlash to that modicum of change. Full post on my substack now:

The racist edict that allowed Columbus to colonize and slaughter Indigenous people is still the law in the U.S. today.

What holiday we celebrate on the second Monday in October matters because it reflects the beliefs we hold about who we are and where we come from as a country.

I hear and see your concerns. Over the weekend, a couple users hosted on Blacksky's PDS were banned from the Bluesky app and thus the Bluesky API servers. This was a weakness of our system I've been aware of and hoped we had more time to address before any kind of public incident. 1/11
