Football hooliganism was just "good-natured fun" says Robert Jenrick
It me!

Note the terminal in the background - this was the track to the train ferry from Helsingør to Helsingborg, pre-Øresund bridge.
I’m always shocked that he’s only two years older than me.
Apparently one of the risk factors for it includes Measles or Mumps in childhood. Strange that he’s so anti-vax when MMR would prevent that.
That faltering voice makes him sound like he’s much older than he really is.
When they say “too many are ignored” it means there’s too much focus on Reform and their handful of MPs compared to the Greens or the Lib Dems.
"Over the last year, Badenoch has asked c.200 questions, Davey around 70, Green MPs 9, and Farage just 6. If those questions had been distributed according to their share of the opinion polls, rather than the number of MPs, Farage would have asked 120 , and the others between 40 and 60 each."
PMQs should give more space to Nigel Farage
In a recent survey of young people by Onward, six out of 10 felt that “too many people are ignored” by democracy or, worse still, that “democracy i...

There is also a generational factor here too. Brexit occured at precisely the point that an entire generation (millenials) had grown up after the Maastricht treaty. Burgundy passports and the EU were the *norm* for them

The notion they would just go away and not want this undone is for the birds
These sorts of incoherences do not last. The cross party durability of the Brexit incoherence is a very curious phenomenon.

If anyone needs me I will be in the museum, lying down next to the bog bodies.
Zero point unless they want to study maths. Make the subject attractive and then people will take it - but focussing on STEM subjects at the expense of everything else will not achieve the desired result.

I need engineers who can also write a decent document and lay out a drawing.

This lurid headline is about British tourists no longer getting away with overstaying in Schengen. Or being 'illegals', as it's often called in the UK.
Makes me wonder how Jenrick and his constituents would react if some of the Handsworth population were relocated to Newark on the grounds of ‘integration’.
I’ve walked across Swedish offices in my socks before. But over here it’s only for the middle of your long night shifts in control rooms.

Maybe if they did the German thing and introduced hausschuhe?

German media seems to be taking more seriously than ours the fact a leading light in the party UK press keeps saying will be next government took bribes from Russia to spout their lies. Maybe it’s because they put NEWS ahead of propaganda
100%. This lot have not an ounce of compassion, and Titus 1:16 very much applies.
Sadly I know a few who expressed their sorrow over Kirk’s death and claimed he was ‘only expressing firmly held opinions’.

They also believe Pope Francis was illegitimate - which gives you a guide to their beliefs.
I’m sitting back and looking forward to McNeil suing him and RFK Jr for everything they’ve got.

"....and you end in the grotesque chaos of a Labour government, a *Labour* government, cowering and saying nothing whilst a violent far right mob goes on the march in the capital...I’m telling you, you can’t play politics with public order and with people’s safety"
I’ve never been on the Petit Train Jaune, but the sound of those compressors alone makes me want to.
That feeling when you’re not on call for another nine hours and the SMOC rings you out of desperation…
Catching up on the previous updates from Hki. Good choice of hotel.

Pleased to see you’ve been infected by the Finnish bug too.
I remember staying in Essen in 2021 and looking out for this particular train from the hotel window…
I used to consider Gävle as northern, until I went to the Finnish Midlands and was some distance further north.
I do like an IC3. Decent seats which line up with the windows, big tables, big luggage racks.

Take note, UK.
Having crossed the Little Belt back onto the European mainland in the form of the Jutland peninsula, shorn of a couple of carriages from the rear at the junction station of Fredericia, which I feel ought to be in Italy, we rumble north for a bit, counterintutively. There is a reason! #Schengen200
