🚨 Statement from Trans Kids Deserve Better on their action - occupying Wes Streeting's constituency office - which ended this morning.

The occupation has now ended, but the space we created for grief and love brought light in this terrifying moment. We showed Streeting that we will not stop fighting despite the horrific treatment we receive from him and his government.

Wes Streeting refused to show his face at his offices this morning, and refused to face the community he is doing his best (and failing) to destroy. He saw us standing in community in our grief and he treated it as a threat, as the government and media continually do. Because in reality, we are so powerful together, and we will keep living and thriving and fighting out of love, and out of spite. And that makes them afraid.

Trans kids deserve healthcare, dignity, and to be treated like human beings. We will fight for that until we have the future we need, and deserve. Trans kids deserve better

CHURCH of England advice for teachers has been criticised for pushing the gender ideology that a person’s sex is ‘assigned’ at birth rather than a biological fact.

Guidance set to be issued to thousands of schools states that a transgender man is someone ‘who was assigned female at birth but identifies and lives as a man’, and a transgender woman ‘was assigned male at birth but identifies and lives as a woman’.

The statements are in the document Flourishing For All, which is backed by Justin Welby, Archbishop of Canterbury, and tells teachers to challenge ‘outdated terms’.

About a million children attend 4,630 Anglican schools.

Last night, critics condemned the proposed guidance.

Lucy Marsh, of the Family Education Trust, said: ‘It is extremely concerning that the Church of England does not recognise that biological sex is immutable. Sex is not “assigned at birth”,
