it's been my icon for awhile, and is probably one of the most "accurate" images of what feels like me!

A cosmically-scaled depiction of a dark grey yinglet with bright green hair. They have oversized round glasses slightly obscuring closed eyes and a slight grin. Their body is surrounded with a similarly bright green aura, with a noted spark running off one of their fingers. When I was 14, I saw a problem and came across a neat solution and thought, “can’t be that hard.”

Was ridiculously laborious and so it turned out I was the first and only person to ever publish something like that open source. It is in wide use.

It taught me skills that directly aided my career.

when i was 14 i wrote a raytracer in a day just off intuition and wikipedia alone. it's not like i've gotten dumber. i know this sounds ridiculous, but i think it's literally just a confidence thing. i used to believe i was smart. i need my ego back

I develop adult video games on Steam. I can't find a bank that will actually let me withdraw my money from Steam. Can I get some advice?
Game has sold quite well on Steam. I've got almost £90,000 ready to withdraw after Steam's cut + VAT taken off.

However, it's been 2 months now and I can't find ANY bank in the UK who will let me withdraw my money from Steam.

I've been banned/refused/unable to get a business account with:

Wise
Revolut
Monzo
Monese
Chase
Starling
Nationwide
Halifax
Barclays
Lloyds
RBS

It always comes down to, "Where did you get this money from?"

"It's coming from games I sell on Steam."

"Can we see the store page?"

"Sure."

"I'm sorry, we can't do business with you at this time."

It keeps coming down to a commercial decision purely because I make adult content.

What the hell am I supposed to do? I've pretty much exhausted the whole banking system. I just want to be able to be paid for products I've sold.

Nah, even years ago recall a reddit thread of "which mod do you wish wasn't in as many packs" and many of the responses were BoP, although that was before there was much competition there so it was in even more packs at the time
