Sometimes I just like the color. Sometimes the character likes the color. Sometimes the color fits the mood I'm trying to set. And sometimes the word "blue" sounds best in the sentence it's in.

Right? One of the most emotionally significant scenes in Muñeca happened because I put a character in front of a door and I didn't know what they were going to do next. I had to ask myself: what would ___ do? And why?
The resulting scene is my single favorite scene in the book.
