I had to replace two toilets for residential use recently, and I think that $980,000 is actually a reasonable amount for such a large bathroom with all these fixtures and plumbing costs. This was federal money that had to be spent before Trump took it away.

I have also seen where the same poll asked a political question as something like "should the government do [x]" or "do you support [x]" and that moved the numbers by 10 points.

Maybe you could also ask, "Do you take acetylcysteine for high blood pressure?" Acetylcysteine is a medication for taking large quantities of acetaminophen. Not high blood pressure. But might be clarifying how many people really read the whole question and parse it clearly.

I am pretty sure you could get around 1-5% on those, which is around the level of clinical psychosis in the general population.

@dhmontgomery.com Do you get some kind of company discount on YouGov polling? I would be interested in maybe six "impossible" questions added to a generic ballot poll with demographics.

Have you walked on the moon?
Do you have the ability to levitate?
Do you have to read people's thoughts?
Etc.

The Pew Research Center could ask, “have you set foot on the moon?“ And still get like 1% of people to answer yes. I don’t care how high on drugs you have been this week. If you are not Neil one of maybe 30 men, you did not stand on the moon.

There is a truism in there. It is easier to get a brand new fog costume with the fan unit and battery for about $35 than it is to think you’re going to fix the fan unit with any parts. The factory in Shenzhen does not stamp spare parts. Sorry comrades, you have to buy a new frog costume. For quota!

About a month ago, the Trump administration got rid of the de minimis exemption, whereby packages valued under $800 could slide in without import duties. Now there's a backlog as the government can't process all of this paperwork, leading to UPS just destroying packages
