There are 374 apartments and around 550 residents in my building according to the United States census in 2020. There was one food delivery this evening so far on the evening shift for the front desk.

The turkey 🦃 looks great coming out of the oven and deep probe was 166°F. We covered with aluminum foil and it rose to the ideal 168°F. Great work, family!

Roasted root vegetables turned out great with salt, pepper, and turmeric!

We uncovered the turkey from its aluminum foil and my mother is adding an orange butter sauce that she is trying this year for the first time. We may need more time in the oven than anticipated, so it’s good we started early this morning.

What do you do when you don’t have enough room in your refrigerator to slowly brine your 18 pound turkey? You can put the brine in a 5 gallon pail and put it in a cooler that insulates it from the outside 28°F cold! Our turkey is brining right now with more insulation. Also bought root vegetables.

My best trip to ALDI yet. I was gifted a free cart by a friendly shopper. Now I have a second ALDI quarter! Stocked up on the essentials like chicken thighs ($1.55 per pound), salad kits, and plenty of dark chocolate. Total receipt was $123.46. Whole milk had gone up from $2.16 to $2.95 per gallon!
