(5/5) …again, so I guess maybe give it a try if you’ve got a picky cat?

(Side bar: This also made me realize that Hana was picking out the bits of the *old* food she didn’t like and tossing them outside the bowl (since she’s no longer doing this). I just assumed she was a sloppy eater!)

(4/5) But I finally found the solution in this miracle potion below. Basically dried salmon and tapioca. But all it takes is one dash, and they’re eating like horses! (And when I say “one dash”, I mean that this bottle will probably last us a year.)

Anyway, no ill effects and everyone is eating….
Salmon-flavored Sassycat, available in pet stores and on Amazon. Not trying to shill for them especially (nothing in it for me), just noting that it works for us!

(3/5) Gravy Swirlers is now “Gravy Swirl’d”, and the packaging proclaims that they haven’t changed the formula.

“Bullshit!” cried both of our cats, who turned their noses up at it and picked at it very sporadically.

Tried another bag of the same and several other dry foods. Very little interest…
Purina lies: this ain’t the same.

(2/5) Hana, OTOH, has turned her nose up on dozens of treats. The only thing she will go for is one specific flavor of Sheba pate, and even that, only about half the time (I think the recipe varies considerably by the batch).

Anyway, this has been her main staple food, and it no longer exists…
Friskies Gravy Swirlers, a brand that sort of no longer exists.

(1/5) Random cat musings thread: As I think I mentioned a couple months back on here, we have an extremely picky eater in our house, Hana The Indecisive.

She’s pretty much always been this way since we got her at ~4 months. Our other cat, Tinsel, will eat any treat put in front of him…
I eat what I feel like when I feel like it.

Oh no, it’s the Zakuya!

GAMEYE tends to be pretty thorough with those.

I’m about 90% of the way through the White Palace in Hollow Knight, and you what? Between this game, Shadow Labyrinth, Shinobi AOV, and The Lost Crown, I’m kind of done with spike puzzles. Like, forever. My bad for playing through all of these in the same year I guess.
Psst, hey kid, you wanna know the biggest secret of Super Meat Boy? It’s overrated.

Sure, I’ve seen The Portland Frog.

Mail call. I got some very good deals on these, but still: these were less than 6 months of GamePass.

Valis III on the PC Engine CD was the first Japanese game with voice acting I ever experienced. This was before I’d even taken the language in high school, so I didn’t understand a word of it, but the performances were captivating.

I heard the English dub a few years later and it crushed my soul.

The US cover art for Valis III manages to make bikini armor look even less comfortable than it normally does.
The cover of the US TG16 CD version of Valis III which is a painting of a woman wearing silver metal armor with double pauldrons, a completely exposed midsection and neck area, and some breast cups that look more like drill bits and one points at the viewer, the other points in a 90-degree direction away from that and her torso is angled to be facing somewhere between those two directions.

To the tune of “Jukebox Hero”.

Welcome to the Next Level indeed.

As someone who played pretty much exclusively on a Model 1 since its launch, I was kind of flabbergasted at all the audio shade thrown at the system until I tried a Model 2 myself.

Seek out a game with a Hitoshi Sakimoto soundtrack for true bliss.

This is a positive thing. Certain book publishers, bird-based retrogame streamers, and social media platform runners should follow suit.

You’re doing amazing work. As someone who’s lousy at taking screenshots, I’m continuously in awe of your skills! Thanks for doing that thing you do.

Are there any photos out there of any of the pucks he actually signed? All of them have his signature stamped on them, so I’m not sure what differentiates the ones signed by hand, at least by looking at them online.
daddymulk.bsky.social
Based on the number of loose pucks I’ve seen on eBay over the years, it was quite common at one point for sure. Boxes and packaging are a rare breed these days, especially ones in good shape. I managed to get mine before prices got too crazy.
