More fun: Your inventory lets you store an undetermined amount of items, but only shows you the first dozen.

The FAQ I’m consulting advised me to have 30-35 gold keys on hand. With no way to count, I risked it…

I’ll be farming baddies for a while to make my way out of here (doors lock behind you).

I’m in a different dungeon now. This corridor, which appears to be the right way to go, runs north and south. It takes around 75 seconds of walking straight before you encounter anything at all. Absolute peak.

JFC, this game.

Run out of food in a dungeon, etc., and you’ll start to lose Vitality at such a ridiculously slow rate that it’s basically inconsequential.

But your guy will also start twitching while you walk around like a junkie going through withdrawal. So have fun with that I guess.

Made it to a cave in the snowy region and managed to wreck a dragon by freezing time with an object and stabbing him repeatedly in the back.

Also, the game apparently rewarded my careful efforts to stockpile rations by making them all go bad the moment I set foot in this area. Fun!

The main key to surviving early on appears to be…fences. That’s it. You can stab skeletons through them without getting hurt, but you’ll need to kind of step out and back in to take care of anything else until you nab a better weapon off a corpse.

Currently playing: Peak Idiot Game, aka The Faery Tale Adventure.

One early objective appears to be raising your bravery score from 36 to 100 to withstand enemy attacks. You do this by killing enemies. You can kill about 1 enemy at a time before dying.

Please send help.

It always annoyed me how Cody’s face/head kind of changes completely when going from Standing to Walking in Final Fight CD (Sega-CD).

Oh, wild: I don’t think I knew that Grind Stormer is a dual-region cart.

There were even black label era games that were region locked, so even finding a red label era one that’s not locked is unusual, let alone one that has region-specific content.
