Welcome to the Next Level indeed.

As someone who played pretty much exclusively on a Model 1 since its launch, I was kind of flabbergasted at all the audio shade thrown at the system until I tried a Model 2 myself.

Seek out a game with a Hitoshi Sakimoto soundtrack for true bliss.

This is a positive thing. Certain book publishers, bird-based retrogame streamers, and social media platform runners should follow suit.

You’re doing amazing work. As someone who’s lousy at taking screenshots, I’m continuously in awe of your skills! Thanks for doing that thing you do.

Are there any photos out there of any of the pucks he actually signed? All of them have his signature stamped on them, so I’m not sure what differentiates the ones signed by hand, at least by looking at them online.

Based on the number of loose pucks I’ve seen on eBay over the years, it was quite common at one point for sure. Boxes and packaging are a rare breed these days, especially ones in good shape. I managed to get mine before prices got too crazy.

Amongst others, Boris Vallejo and Julie Bell did a lot of really phenomenal covers for the Western versions of games. Tom duBois also did some really great covers for Konami: I kind of prefer his work on Castlevania IV to the Japanese box art.

Happy 25th anniversary Eternal Arcadia, aka Skies of Arcadia, released in Japan on 5th October 2000!

One of my fave DC games. <3

I'll mark the occasion by sharing some sweet character concept sketches from its development.

They were under a lot of stress, so I assume that one line is a typo and should read “Buy TUMS”.

Wait wait wait hold on. Did Dave Perry consult on SNES Pitfall? That would explain so much about why the final game looks/plays looks it does
Items on the development timeline include "Terminate old animation contract" and "David Perry enters the team."

Also, I should clarify that I resorted to this after two requests over three days with no responses as I watched whoever runs the account continue to put up new listings. I understand that people get busy, but if you have time to list, you have time to deal with your sold listings.

Deleted my other post since the account I tagged wasn’t involved, but after contacting the actual store involved in my eBay purchase (fair, I think, since they have a physical location and a reputation), I got my invoice for combined shipping with a generous 0% discount. Scorched Earth Time.

Fair enough. Same brand image on both accounts, so I figured I’d check. Thanks!
