Imagine what it would have looked like if all that pastureland hadn’t come from the decimation of woodlands…instead we have pasture as far as the eye can see and the odd tree that was “allowed“ to remain and we think it’s beautiful

I was exposed to vivisection and realised the depths of human depravity. The hypocrisy that we, as a species, have any moral justification for exploiting another species, whilst decrying exploitation within our own, was made apparent to me.

There was no social media when I went vegan.

The other panelists kept droning on about immigrants “not integrating”

The super-rich who threaten to leave if they’re taxed a tiny portion of their wealth, aren‘t willing to participate in the social, cultural, and economic life of our society; they’re less “integrated” than most immigrants

That’s not great 😣. Was worth a try, gallbladder would have been an easy one to catch. I’ve known 4 people who have had pain issues and it’s come down to the gallbladder.

If the pain is in your upper right abdomen, have you had your gallbladder imaged for stones?

Does the pain come after a meal (especially ones that are high in oils and fats) and in waves?

Meat is a blind spot for people who care about climate. When I used to have dinner with my colleague Wally Broecker, the climate scientist who coined the term “global warming”, he would always order a steak.

It irks people to hear it but I literally couldn’t care less.

I joined climate activists in reducing because I thought they’d actually follow the science and eliminate animal exploitation in favour of their’s and their offspring’s future. I was wrong…so they can continue and I’ll emit what I feel

You may have “hope” but I’ve been vegan for more than 2 decades now and the only thing that will make the majority of people change, is if they have no choice. Most are like James Miller here.

I have no interest in making any effort to ensure a future for him nor future generations like him.

Amusingly, I have exactly the same take as you; I’ll be dead by the time climate change really starts to hit humanity, so I couldn’t care less about it…your son, however, not so much.

To be fair, they wouldn’t be able to do it, if it wasn’t for those individuals who are more than happy to give them money for their products.

Considering the number of available alternative, I put the onus primarily on the consumer.
