A while ago I was asked to design and make a mask for a new slasher, based on a pretty well set concept…
If you’re at Sitges tonight you can see them on the big screen in the European premiere of Dolly!

The titular “Dolly”, wearing the mask we made. A battered, cracked, oversized porcelain doll head the jagged neck shards of which tear to the flesh of the wearer!

Fabianne Therece having an entirely proportionate reaction to the events of the film: screaming, running, blood covered through a forest full of suspended baby dolls.

I strongly recommend a a lemon pathos near a small corbel with a lava lamp on a smart switch in your kitchen. It’s a nice vibe.

The jaw-dropping DOLLY delivers grimy 16mm grindhouse style & visceral gore in a folk-horror nightmare of grotesquerie. Raw, loud & scuffed at the edges, it’s built for midnight audiences to gasp, scream & laugh together. My usual credo is to “protect the dolls.” BUT NOT HER!!

That’s very kind of you. For clarity: I only designed Dolly’s mask and prosthetics, Ashley Thomas (@yellowmothmakeup on instagram) was the on set prosthetics supervisor and not only applied my Dolly designs but also devised and ran all the gore gags, so I want to ensure she’s recognised!

The through and throughs are delightful but I think the front on shots are occasionally a little overpowered, I don’t want so much mist, I want a big wet web of blood! Need to put a bit of slime in that blood pack!
