In other news, I picked up a Moliere collection from the library the other day. Up to Tartuffe, and man. A 350 year old play about a hypocritical lech who exploits people through faux-religious 'morality' is hitting pretty hard for some reason.

So I've started re-watching this Outlaw Star box set I picked up at a Half Price Books or something like, years and years ago.

And man, as I get older, I have to respect how kitchen-sink bonkers this show is.

As a middle-aged nerd, I am exactly Cline's target audience, which is why I loathe RP1 so much.

It's just depressing, as the book has such a narrow view of fandom. Memorization and repetition are the only virtues, and there's no room for interpretation or even original work written after 1994.
