There's a stage of being diagnosed with MS-like symptoms, but no lesions (or I think just one lesion? Not sure). It's not called MS at that stage.

It's called Clinically Isolated Syndrome.

So people are being diagnosed with a terrible, debilitating syndrome.

STAR TREK: PRODIGY is an easy one to miss. And yeah, it's targeted at kids, and yeah, there are some absolute filler episodes.

But it's a quiet love letter to Trek, as well as a decent story. Particularly the latter half of the second season.
