idk if "self-serving" is the word here but. i do feel like its only often brought up as a like "ah.... i TOO was harmed. i too am the victim" but when someone brings up the point of "well yeah that lingering connection also comes with shit you need to unlearn or else you could harm others". yknow.

admittedly i really don't think its transphobic to point out that this is a part of lingering white woman victimization. you can't argue that transmascs are impacted by misogyny + can still connect to womanhood but then go "nuh uh" when that lingering connection isnt self-serving/pretty

its fascinating when and where other white transmascs choose to call themselves a "white boy" vs "white man". they will spend days arguing against our infantilization, but then pull that infantilization up as a defense when there is a "risk" they could be held accountable for something serious.
