I think that argument would hold if it was a modern subscription model and it was a choice to have it or not.

While anyone who watches any form of live TV has to pay for it they will be under pressure to be seen to offer something for everyone.

It's included in the Ruby standard library as part of `un`, which offers alternatives to common Unix commands.
