I’m currently at Families Weekend visiting my kid who just started freshman year of college. Without IDEA, our learning disabled kid would never have finished high school, as our district wanted to send them to an outpatient mental health facility instead of an appropriately supportive school.

I think we really should stop using antifa and just fully say anti-fascist and get them saying they are against anti fascism. Using antifa is giving them some distance and I genuinely think some of their base don’t even know that’s what it stands for.

If the administration does get its way and insists this is an “insurrection” and an actual “war” then it’s my understanding that the Geneva Conventions prohibit photos and videos of prisoners for “public curiosity”

The ICE officer who tackles this protester is also holding a gigantic gun while doing it (first clip). It’s not strapped to him at all. It’s between him and the man he’s tackling. Does not seem to be in good control of it.

He’s mixing things up - the opposite of diversity is not unity. The opposite is homogeneity. The opposite of unity is division, which is the Trump administration’s whole thing.

Genuine question (I’m not familiar with guns) - should he be getting into a wrestling match with an automatic weapon on his back like that? I’m assuming there’s some sort of safety (would that be on if he was just brandishing it though?). Seems like this is really against protocol. If there is one.

Just for the sake of argument, let’s say that burning the flag actually did violate us law (I know it clearly does not) - would ICE or CBP agents even have the authority to arrest a US citizen for something that has nothing to do with immigration? Trump is blurring the lines of law enforcement.
