I have the opposite of anxiety about them, bc growing up in Louisiana, we made mini-Mardi Gras floats out of them and pulled them around in a parade with the rest of the school, which is also something we did as adults (‘Tit Rex parade in New Orleans) and it was INCREDIBLY fun 😅

🧵 One of my goals coming into this year was to insert more looseness into my work, to allow muscle weakness and spasms and exhaustion to become part of my art instead of fighting against it.

It's hard to be this vulnerable online, but I feel like the bucket of cold water is extremely necessary to understand how exhausted we all are.

We've lost and rebuilt our audiences a dozen times, pivoted, weathered storms, added additional streams of revenue, and the sisyphus boulder gets heavier.

So heartbreaking they had to separate, but happy they have a good new home. I’m really grateful I got to take my kitties after leaving *a situation*, if I wouldn’t have been able to, idk what I would’ve done. I really hope Chris is able to rest and heal & experience some safety & ease soon.
