It's hard to be this vulnerable online, but I feel like the bucket of cold water is extremely necessary to understand how exhausted we all are.

We've lost and rebuilt our audiences a dozen times, pivoted, weathered storms, added additional streams of revenue, and the sisyphus boulder gets heavier.

This is not a call for pity but more to put into perspective how 2025 has been impacting a lot of artists:

Between losses of sales, wholesale, tariffs, and fewer corporate clients, I have lost 50% of my gross income this year as a full-time graphic designer and artist.

So heartbreaking they had to separate, but happy they have a good new home. I’m really grateful I got to take my kitties after leaving *a situation*, if I wouldn’t have been able to, idk what I would’ve done. I really hope Chris is able to rest and heal & experience some safety & ease soon.
