He threw at least two passes right to defenders, but he already looks like a more effective backup than Strevy. Given more reps, there might be something there.
These highlights bring back so many great CFL memories...
OTD in Blue Bombers History Oct 12, 1983. It’s Warren Moon’s last CFL season and Bomber defence sacked, intercepted and stripped the football from Moon in their 33-15 victory. Joe Poplawski hauled in two John Hufnagel passes for touchdowns as Bombers clinched 2nd place in West

Winnipeg announces Kyle Connor's eight year, $12.0 million AAV extension.

There are substantial signing bonuses, as reported by Elliotte Friedman and Darren Dreger. This is a first for Winnipeg, as I've been writing at The Athletic leading up to the deal.

Connor is a long, long term Jet.

Jonathan Toews believed to be a late addition to the #NHLJets IR, via Puckpedia. Toews practiced with the team on Sunday for the first time since tweaking something in preseason.

That leaves Parker Ford and Brad Lambert on the Jets roster to start.

We'll see how Winnipeg looks at practice.
So many injuries - I think they'll still make some noise later in the season if they can get all those guys back.

I had a not-so-little rant about how I practise journalism on *that other app* 🐦❎ earlier today.

ICYMI…

(I don’t plan to spam like this ever again – especially not on a Saturday – but I’m compelled to type because this is a timely opportunity to address misinformation and fake-news rhetoric.)

16 offensive possessions in the #CFL game between Winnipeg Blue Bombers and Hamilton Tiger-Cats.

7 possessions by Winnipeg.

These are the lowest totals ever.

Previous low was 19 combined offensive possessions (3 times).

With the drop in usage, I can see why things might have to adjust. At the same time, why can't they just charge what they need to charge to make the system sustainable? If it costs 2 bucks to send a letter from Winnipeg to Moncton, so be it! Sounds quite fair to me.

Congratulations to Mike O’Shea. Counting regular season, playoff and Grey Cups the Blue Bombers win v the RedBlacks was #123 for O’Shea. That’s one more win than the ‘Silver Fox’ Bud Grant had. Making O’Shea the winningest head coach in Blue Bombers history. Bravo Coach O’Shea

Alternate CFL plan:

• Leave the rules the way they are
• Move the Argos to London, Ont. or Kitchener-Waterloo-Cambridge and stop trying to sell Torontonians on a game they don’t want
• Go where the fans are, starting with Quebec City.
When I get the call in the cell phone lot, I pull up and just double-park for 30 seconds if necessary. If a security person approaches, I just say "Hey, these people are just parked here, so..."
This is a CONSTANT problem at YWG.

Ken Dryden lived what was surely one of the most remarkable lives in Canadian history and he was never not thoughtful on the occasions I got to interview him...
I remember my induction day well. I knew nothing about soccer, but volunteered to be an assistant. I was given an envelope as I walked into the community centre, marked "HEAD COACH". I said "no, I signed up to be an assistant" and was told to sit down with all the other "assistant coaches".😂

Three bikes stolen from our Spence Neighbourhood garage last night. Photos below.

One has an airtag and been to houses on Furby, Elgin, and Wiliam so far.

Someone captured a photo of the thief riding my Rocky Mountain Cirrus on McGee between Ellice and St. Matthews this morning. Photo attached.

As of today, 3% of Manitoba’s land mass has burned this fire season.

The total burn this wildfire season in this province is 16,735 square kilometres.

That’s equivalent to three Prince Edward Islands.
I guess that the "pro miss" is too wide vs. too narrow when it comes to a tornado.
I got a tornado phone warning in Winnipeg, although I don't know how finely-tuned those things are.

I wonder how many countries would actually put meaningful fees in place for American visitors? This would seem to be counterproductive. And the kind of Americans traveling internationally are probably the same people who are sick of all the nonsense.
Perhaps easier than tennis, especially doubles.
Well, if you are doing it properly, your knees should be barking at you for at least a week...
