How a soft-spoken NHL star uses his platform to raise awareness for Parkinson’s
Kyle Connor has had a transformative year, but his biggest impact may be off the ice as he tries to honor one of his late father's dreams.

Elias Salomonsson practiced with Dylan Samberg on the second pair. Scott Arniel says it's not set in stone.

"We'll see how tomorrow goes, what the matchups will be ... (But) there's a lot of similarities between those two guys in how they play, their feet, and how they defend."
Elias Salomonsson is likely making his NHL debut tomorrow.

"It's looking that way," says Scott Arniel.

Neal Pionk is day to day.

Looks like Elias Salomonsson may be joining the Jets today. Practice is at 10:30 am.

Winnipeg placed Connor Hellebuyck on injured reserve yesterday, creating room for a callup.

No update on Neal Pionk yet, but:
Looks like my thought proved accurate as Elias Salomonsson is now listed on the Jets roster on the NHL media site.
Notable at Moose practice:

Jets prospects Wagner & Julien skated in yellow, non-contact.

D pairs were jumbled:

Heinola – Clague
Phillips – Bauer
Anhorn - Salomonsson
Sautner – Frisch

I suspect it’s precautionary in case Salomonsson gets called up.

I thought 44 + 91 did a better job on that shorthanded goal than they did the other day... But they needed another F to eliminate the trailer. (I think it was 81, given Faber took it from him on the rim pass.)

Faber was great on that goal too of course

Neal Pionk won't return to today's game due to a lower body injury (via Jets PR)
November 23, 2025 at 10:08 PM
My view from the couch at home: That was one of Winnipeg's stronger periods of the season.

None of the stuff they talk about when they're off their game (losing their F3, getting beat up the ice, passing off chances, blowing coverage...)

Easy to believe in the process, even at 0-0.

Mark Scheifele made his turn, Jonathan Toews wound up and tried but the pass was into his feet and the Jets fall 4-3.

Winnipeg finishes the night at 12-8-0, in possession of the second wild card spot via tiebreaker.
November 22, 2025 at 3:41 AM
Mark Scheifele, Kyle Connor, or Josh Morrissey might yet find a way to Globetrot their way to a tie game for Winnipeg.

Most recently it's Scheifele going behind his back with a dangle and then shooting while turned away from the net.

81 seconds left for that or a greasy one.

Gabriel Vilardi strikes back. It's a two-on-one, it's a lucky bounce, it's another rendition of the Macarena.
November 22, 2025 at 3:07 AM
It's 4-2 Hurricanes as Nikolaj Ehlers freezes Winnipeg's PK, skating downhill and firing a no-look pass onto the tape of Andrei Svechnikov.

Vintage Ehlers in his first game against his old team.
November 22, 2025 at 3:06 AM
The Carolina Hurricanes stormed (surged?) their way to a 3-2 lead in the second period, getting another goal from Jordan Staal and a shorthanded rebound from Seth Jarvis along the way.

A little track meet-y at times, which can be fun to watch.
November 22, 2025 at 2:41 AM
Jordan Staal with the brace. Great mid-air deflection from the high slot to make it 2-2. Got away from Jets coverage.
November 22, 2025 at 2:12 AM
Dylan DeMelo just saved a goal, darting into the crease and taking a two-hand swat at a puck that hit Eric Comrie and bounced towards the open net behind him.

And it was Nikolaj Ehlers whose goal DeMelo erased, right after the Ehlers tribute video.

That's fun.
November 22, 2025 at 1:34 AM
Nikolaj Ehlers gestures to his heart and applauds right back at Canada Life Centre faithful.
November 22, 2025 at 1:33 AM
Cole Perfetti ⏩ Gabriel Vilardi ⏩ Macarena

It's 2-1 #NHLJets with Vilardi's power play goal.
November 22, 2025 at 1:26 AM
Josh Morrissey equalizes, jumping into the play and picking up Mark Scheifele's pass as the trailer. High fives the glass where a bunch of fans were jumping.

1-1.

Connor Hellebuyck is out for 4-6 weeks, undergoing arthroscopic injury to treat a minor, nagging knee issue.

Six weeks would bring us to 2026, with enough time to prep for the Olympics. And taking time now seems necessary if the #NHLJets are to attempt a deep playoff run.
November 21, 2025 at 4:45 PM
Connor Hellebuyck is being shut down for 4-6 weeks for a minor arthroscopic knee surgery, as per Darren Dreger.

Thomas Milic has been recalled and is here at Canada Life Centre for Jets morning skate
