Frank Nazar on coming so close to scoring so many times lately: "That can be life sometimes. Gotta get up and punch it in the balls back."

Round 3:
Boldy stopped
Donato stopped

Blackhawks lose 4-3 after leading 3-0.

Round 2:
Kaprizov scores
Bedard loses the puck

Round 1:
Zuccarello wide
Nazar wide (but oh so close)

Off to another shootout. Sixth shootout since Christmas. Third in the last four games.

The Blackhawks have now come up empty on 22 straight power plays.
January 28, 2026 at 3:51 AM
Vlasic gets taken down and the Blackhawks will get a power play with 1:56 left in overtime. Fans here are understandably livid as Chicago has gotten away with a few tonight.

The net was off its moorings, and Knight was yelling at the ref about it. Then he just nudged it off more to get his point across.
January 28, 2026 at 3:41 AM
Blackhawks open overtime with Bedard, Nazar and Vlasic.
January 28, 2026 at 3:38 AM
This is Minnesota's 1,784th overtime of the season, I believe.
January 28, 2026 at 3:36 AM
We're headed to overtime as the Blackhawks coughed up a 3-0 lead after a terrific, dominant start.
January 28, 2026 at 3:36 AM
GOAL: After yet another squandered power play, the Blackhawks give up the equalizer as Spurgeon tucks in a rebound. 3-3 with 2:01 left. That felt inevitable.
January 28, 2026 at 3:32 AM
A truly putrid power play there for the Blackhawks. 9:20 to go, still 3-2 Chicago.
January 28, 2026 at 3:19 AM
The league's top-ranked PK comes through. Now comes essentially a 12:45 penalty kill, up 3-2.
January 28, 2026 at 3:13 AM
And now the Blackhawks go to their first kill of the game at 5:06. Grzelcyk for tripping.
January 28, 2026 at 3:08 AM
GOAL: Eriksson Ek puts one past Knight and it's 3-2 now. Gulp.
January 28, 2026 at 3:06 AM
END OF PERIOD 2: Blackhawks lead 3-1, but it feels a tad more precarious than it probably should, as Minnesota woke up with the Trenin goal. Chicago squandering a gift power play at the end of the period didn't help.
January 28, 2026 at 2:43 AM
Wild get a 3-on-1 but only get a tough-angle Kaprizov shot out of it. He hit the side of the net.
January 28, 2026 at 2:33 AM
GOAL: Trenin with a snipe off the rush and the Wild have life. 3-1 Chicago.
January 28, 2026 at 2:30 AM
Nazar with a great feed across the goalmouth to Bedard and Wallstedt makes the save — or did he? They just blew the horn to take a look.
January 28, 2026 at 2:20 AM
Matt Grzelcyk, my guy, you can't make that pass from there. Believe in yourself!
January 28, 2026 at 2:19 AM
GOAL: MIkheyev rips a shot from the wall after a great bank pass by Alex Vlasic. 3-0 Chicago.
January 28, 2026 at 2:12 AM
END OF PERIOD 1: Blackhawks lead the Wild 2-0 on goals by Teräväinen and Donato. Great period for Chicago, which, it's worth noting, has won its last four road games, including in Dallas, Washington and Raleigh.

She took a half step back and then stepped AT this dude. ICE needs 30 masked guys each with their own body armor and assault rifle to even approach this level of courage.
