Skimming through episode 7 of the Smartphone Isekai Anime Season 2 for Science reasons, and not even Nabeshin can save this, even if the occasional Extremely Nabeshin Looking Shot sneaks through.

In case you’ve ever wondered what kind of audience the Laserdisc medium was marketed to, consider that Pioneer’s U.S. releases of the Armitage III anime had fully English-language packaging EXCEPT for the spines, which printed the titles in katakana

It has suddenly dawned on my that the actual problem with OPM S3 is that a straight adaptation of the manga of at least the early chapters of this arc is just going to be kind of boring without taking way more liberties with the material than the staff are probably going to be permitted.

Was poking through the sketches on my iPad trying to figure out where I left off on a particular dev project and suddenly encountered some stuff from the Halloween project I started last year. I should really finish this one at some point...

Went out to see that new Tron movie and I was sure the only one in that screening.

(Movie is perfectly fine in that “it didn’t bore me but I’ll probably never watch this again” kind of way)

I've not even started any of the new season anime, though given CR seems to be extremely quietly updating the subs on some of the new shows, I'm just going to procrastinate on that for another week and see if V2s drop on the stuff I'm interested in.

Panel related jokes aside, I am starting to wonder if there’s any mileage in doing a Nabeshin-specific panel, mostly just as a vector to (a) point out how a lot of famous old directors are still working slightly under the radar and (b) how noticeable specific EDs can be sometimes.
