They're running it again next year, where presumably the filming element will be smoother and Phil Wang will have learnt to throw a worked punch without looking terrified he's about to hurt someone (grappling and bumping he looked fine).

I was at this, it was a lot of fun. It's definitely a wrestling event with comedians rather than a comedy event with wrestlers. They've been running them since 2011, originally as "The Wrestling".

I think the shape made them excessively greasy, but possibly that was just a combination of early 80s frying techniques and my 6 year old hands creating that memory.

IIRC they were an extruded potato crisp in a vaguely waffle shape. The bags would have a humourous cartoon on the front, possibly different ones to encourage kids to collect them? Came in Beef and Prawn Cocktail flavour.

I love this scene so much. Everyone joyfully being mean to Ranma. There's a vein of nastiness in Rumiko Takahashi's work that really sets it apart from her imitators.

Gendo Saotome and the Tendo family hang live cats off the body of Ranma Saotome who has frozen in fear.
