Men were branded as gangsters sent to CECOT, the torture prison in El Salvador. On 7/19, 252 were released to Venezuela- the Salvadorans still there. We won't forget the injustice to them and continue to speak out for all that ICE has disappeared in US

It's over 6 months since 36 (or more) Salvadoran men were illegally sent to CECOT- no due process. Human rights abuses are commonplace in that torture prison.

Be a voice for these men. Speak out to your senators, reps and faith communities.

These are sons, dads, partners, husbands.

##libertad
Although very few names are known, these Salvadorans are brothers, sons, husbands, and fathers too. They are still at CECOT.

We need to advocate for them and their families. We can not forget them.

It has been close to 5 months since at least 36 Salvadorans were illegally sent to CECOT.
They are still there- and they desperately need advocacy.

Rodmel Angulo, one of the innocent Venezuelans sent by USA to be tortured for months in CECOT, has a GoFundMe setup by a friend.

There is a chance to at least little bit alleviate the profound wrong that has been done.

Thank you to @disappearedfromus.bsky.social for bringing attention to this.

I’m sharing this again because Alma still hasn’t been released, and neither has Rodney Taylor.

ICE is targeting disabled people and counting on society not caring because they see us as expendable.

They also grabbed and dragged a disabled blind man in Portland last week.
Disabled People are Being Mistreated in ICE Detention Facilities
Why is no one talking about it? Where's the media? Where's the public outcry? Another example of the pervasive nature of ableism and how society views disabled people as expendable.

“We had reached the end of our journey … and our hopes were completely shattered. I can’t necessarily call it a betrayal, but the fact that they didn’t interview us, ask about our fears or why we fled our country. It all seemed very cruel.”

One family fled Afghanistan. Then US deportations scattered them across the world
What it means to seek refuge in the U.S. has been transformed, casting aside an ethos of helping the persecuted nearly as old as the country itself.

Andrea Soria...overheard her 6-year-old whisper to her dolls: “We have to be good or ICE will get us,” referring to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

Absolutely heartbreaking. Children should feel safe in their communities, able to play and be children. Not live in fear.

Rodney Taylor is still under detention in Georgia with brutal conditions and lack of medical care.

Please share this story and petition.

While you’re here, please take a moment to read my article about Rodney Taylor, a disabled double amputee who’s being held in solitary confinement by ICE.

He was two days away from receiving new prosthetics when they grabbed him.

He’s been detained for months & there’s a petition to get him out:

Rodney has been in the country more than 40 years. He's in solitary confinement in Georgia, being denied disability accommodations and having his medical needs ignored. He must be released.

The fundamental problem with DHS's efforts to position its officers as the victims in every story is that we have eyes and ears.
Multiple accounts on ICE Watch Facebook pages are reporting that agents pulled a couple out of their vehicle in Aurora, Illinois, arrested them, and then abandoned the couple’s toddler in the backseat.

A sad update to the story of the 13-year-old Massachusetts boy who was abducted by ICE: He is choosing to self-deport to Brazil because even if he were to win his asylum case, his lawyer says it's possible he could still remain incarcerated.

People should absolutely be writing about how ICE's occupation of their cities is transforming life in these places, and they should be publishing it in print on paper - not just social media posts. There needs to be a record of this. Things are changing in measurable ways for the worse every day.

It's been a quiet couple of weeks in ICE procurements with the shutdown.

The lone award to slip through: $25,000 to First American Title Insurance Company in Santa Ana, CA for title abstract, escrow, and settlement services.
ICE couldn't terrorize our communities to this degree without the hundreds of companies that provide it with goods and services—many of which also have contracts with blue cities and states.
