My signal is annabower.24 if any other United States Attorneys want to text me!
EXCLUSIVE: One Saturday afternoon in October, my phone lit up with a notification.

I glanced down at the message.

“Anna, Lindsey Halligan here,” it began.

So began my text exchange with the woman who is prosecuting the president's perceived political enemies.

the symbolism of “Trump destroying the White House for a overpriced luxury vanity project, during a government shut down, days after a historically-large mass demonstration against his regime called “No Kings”’ would be rightly viewed as laying it on a little thick if it was in a work of fiction

Amateur hour at the DOJ. Incompetence and corruption go hand in hand.

Susan Collins could hold hearings on this (or a hundred other things). She could subpoena administration officials and if they failed to comply she could put a 'hold' on nominations or simply vote against Trump nominees.

She continues to do none of these thing and no one asks her why. #MEpolitics
Trump is literally demolishing part of the White House. I’m sure Susan Collins thinks this is just fine. Has anyone asked her?
#mepolitics
omg!

"Demolition crews have begun tearing down part of the White House...

"Construction teams Monday were demolishing a portion of the East Wing, with a backhoe ripping through the structure..."

Exactly! Collins is choosing to be helpless. Because it serves her interest and preserves her position of personal privilege.

So tired of Susan Collins failures being framed as beyond her control.

She's a 72 year old grown-up! Been in DC since the 1970s! Either she's not exercising her power because she doesn't want to OR because that empty "power" is contingent on not rocking the MAGA boat.

That's on her! #MEpolitics
Susan Collins is responsible for this.

“We found over 35 cases in which the judges have specifically said what the government is providing…false information. It might be intentionally false information, including false sworn declarations time and again," says Ryan Goodman, law professor at New York University.
Leaders can lead only because followers follow.

Here is a small illustration of the leader that Susan Collins has chosen to follow. #mepolitics #nokings
Nearly 7 million people across the country turned out for the second “No Kings” protests against Trump and his administration, marking the largest single-day demonstration against a sitting president in modern history, organizers said. Trump responded with an obscene video of himself defecating.

Finally came across video of an arrest at a #NoKings event yesterday. 🙄
Did Susan Collins care about these things? I doubt it.

I’m absolutely exhausted in the best possible way. I love us. We did it! #NoKings
A lot of Mainers turned out yesterday, but one was missing.

Where was Susan Collins? Too busy to talk (or listen) to the people she swore an oath to represent?

Just a bunch of paid domestic terrorists in Portland, Maine.

Where was Susan Collins today? On the sidewalk, listening to thousands of Mainers who turned out to speak out? I don’t think so.
