Just spitballing here but maybe telling these guys to wear bodycams and throwing them a few bucks for de-escalation training isn't going to do the trick? #MEpolitics

This is the agency -- the Trump paramilitary -- that Susan Collins continued to praise as recently as yesterday and wants to send more money to without meaningful reforms. #MEpolitics
This is just insane. It’s only a matter of time before DHS kills another innocent person here.

Wild.

Susan Collins will have all the $$ she needs cuz of her billionaire-backed super PACs and deep-pocketed affiliate groups.

But Mills...Even with DSCC's backing she's putting up weak numbers.

Will be fine if she wins the nomination...but these numbers suggest that's very much TBD. #MEpolitics

This is in the county Susan Collins grew up in. At least she's seeing to it that ICE has plenty of money. #MEpolitics

Susan Collins praised ICE as recently as yesterday! The day before she voted to funnel the paramilitary billions of dollars that could go to schools or hospitals etc.

Not sure how many Mainers know this! Would be a good time for the folks with big megaphones/wallets to spread the word. #MEpolitics
Union Carpenter Derek Ellis of Skowhegan was down the street from his job site in Portland when he saw ICE agents shout at a woman to "get the hell out" of her car. As they tore her out of her car, she screamed "I'm a US citizen! I'm a citizen!" as her small child in a carseat cried hysterically.

Rev. Norman Allen, one of nine arrested at Susan Collins's office last week for protesting her complicity in the terror campaign Trump's paramilitary is waging in Maine and elsewhere. tinyurl.com/ysstf92x

The thing is, even if Collins has the power Allen thinks...she's not using it! #MEpolitics

She's spitting out talking points -- crafted to offend as few Mainers as possible -- with all the finesse of an AI bot.

It's a reminder of the pointlessness of focusing on what Susan Collins says: It almost never provides useful context about what she's done or what she's about to do. #MEpolitics
Here Susan Collins admits ICE is targeting the “wrong people,” including people with permission to remain in the US. But she also has “great respect” for them and she thinks the solution is to implement reforms that will do nothing about targeting #mepolitics

Lindsey Graham put a hold on a bill and got something in return for lifting it. If only other senators like Susan Collins or Angus King (or the 46 other non-GOP) were capable of such moxie. Pathetic. #MEpolitics
Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., who has been blocking a vote on the revised government funding deal, says he is lifting his blockade in exchange for a vote on his bill to end sanctuary cities.

Graham Platner not letting up on his town hall strategy -- announces 16 more dates up thru May.

Two very different strategies from two very different ME-SEN primary candidates on the Democratic side. #MEpolitics
I don't know how we've reached a time when Mainers cannot count on politicians to show up in their communities and openly and honestly answer questions. Our campaign is doing things differently because I'd actually like to hear from you.

Why are we even talking about handing over more money to a rogue paramilitary that's using tactics straight out of Orwell? #MEpolitics
A Minnesota woman observing ICE agents in her car was cornered on one-way streets. An agent approached, called her by name—citing facial recognition. Days later, her Global Entry and TSA privileges were revoked, with no explanation.

Tale of two campaigns:

Twitter isn't real life and this is nothing more than a snapshot of a single moment...but consecutive tweets in our timeline from Janet Mills and Graham Platner had 369 and 97,000 views, respectively, when we captured this image. #MEpolitics

Susan Collins voting to send billions more to ICE and praising Noem the morning after the paramilitary shattered glass across the body of a Maine infant -- and days after Noem used Orwellian lies to defend Alex Pretti's killing -- should be the top story at every Maine outlet tomorrow. #MEpolitics

We won’t be fooled.

Not one more dollar for ICE.

ICE out of Maine.

This is the context in which Susan Collins is praising Noem, defending ICE and voting to give the paramilitary more $$$ without meaningful constraints. #MEpolitics

After a week of federally-sponsored mayhem in Maine and another killing in Minneapolis, Susan Collins votes to send billions more to ICE with no meaningful constraints on Trump's paramilitary.

A bipartisan majority including seven (!) GOP voted no. #MEpolitics
The massive government funding package just failed badly in the Senate, 45-55.

Needed 60.

Zero Democrats voted for it.

SEVEN Republicans opposed it:

Budd
Johnson
Lee
Paul
Moody
Rick Scott
Tuberville

(John Thune switched his vote to no for procedural reasons.)

Susan Collins entire political project in Trump 2.0 has been to try to convince Mainers that retaining a senator with *proximity* to power -- 'I'm friends with the king!' -- is better than electing someone who will wield their power to actually fight tyranny.

Seems kind of dubious! #MEpolitics
Is she going to get the Mainers who Noem kidnapped returned? Or now that she got her headline, that's it?

Maybe someone in media can ask that? Cause a lot of damage has been done

(This assumes Collins is being accurate and Miller signed off too. She's quite gullible)

Susan Collins reelection argument: 'If I win, my pals in the executive branch might punch you in the face now and then. But if a Dem wins, they'll punch you in the face, kick you in the shins and take your lunch money. So best to stick with me.'

The reason Susan Collins's staff whispers this to reporters is they realize her behavior has been so aberrant and politically obtuse that it risks creating the impression she's not going to run for re-election. #MEpolitics (via @dabbs346.bsky.social)

Sorry but it's beyond wild that Susan Collins's answer to this is "give them more money!" #MEpolitics

This is both outrageous and heartbreaking. Senator Susan Collins has the power to stop funding this terror. Keep calling and standing up! We need ICE OUT of Maine. NOW!
