A trail of blood behind her shows that she has limped over to protect him despite her own back leg being injured. Her teeth are bared and she holds a knife (matching Toller's) in her mouth, standing confidently against the villain. There is a warm light coming from the right of the canvas, illuminating much of Vicky and contrasting with the dark blue shadows covering much of the painting. This is a scene from their story where Toller loses his back left leg, Vicky protecting him from further injury and death.

I wouldn't say I particularly like how my style for drawing splatoon characters looked in the first few years of doing so but I do still like this particular character interaction in the background of a zine piece from 2019
