At the end of the day, the environment is what shapes the individual.
I included a flipped alt of the piece, for those who like to have Hornet on top. And that's about it.
Figured since I've been playing both games back to back with Hollow Knight already beaten recently, I'd finish coloring this piece featuring both the Knight and Hornet together in a sort of mirrored portrait. Love the contrast between the two.

So it is finally out and finished, Abby is now crashing into Castle Crashers.

While she may not have access to the powers of her prosthetic, she does have skills. That should be enough, yeh?

So update on Abby's mod, I have finished all the parts for Abby's in-game sprite, and she is pretty much playable right now.

I still have yet to make the HUD and Character Select portraits though, so is not out yet.

So I've heard from a friend that Castle Crashers got a DLC that lets you create your own character into the game...

And so I didn't want to miss out, so I'm doing Abby in the game. This is a WIP tho, she's not yet ready.

I'm not making a game to appeal to a wide audience, or for as many possible people to play it.

I'm making a game for a handful of people to love it to pieces.

I'd rather make something that one person loves with all their heart than something a thousand people think is okay.

This time, I really wanted to experiment with the flipnote brushes while coloring this one. Given the uniqueness of Abby, I figured I can go a bit nuts with the colors if her realm.

But I am happy with the result regardless.

Quick art tip: If your glowy lights look flat/boring (they read more like fog than light), it might be because you're fading from 100% to 0%.

Instead, try using an off color, and boost it to, say, 150%. This gives the same peak color, but fades through a different tone.

Honestly, I wanna bring these two back. Been thinking about the previous game I was working on before Cheddarhead, which involved the two characters below (Wizmorf and Majyan) and the temptation to start that project again has been gnawing at me.

I might do a prototype... maybe.

I wasn't sure if this little touch would be worth it, but it looks RAD. The Demon Buster now has smoke shoot out from the exhaust after going into POWER mode! 💨
