Yeah - Etsy are recommending we use prepaid duty services to avoid rejection. I haven’t been able to get my brain around it though. They recommend Royal Mail etc but in the next paragraph say they no longer allow purchase of RM delivery through Etsy. Maybe time to just close that door

(It’s not like I make a lot of sales, but the few I have had via Etsy were to the US - otherwise it would be a very easy decision)

Hmm… I’ve been debating for weeks whether to just stop sending my Etsy store items to the US, and this might just persuade me not to. Another UK Etsy sellers managing successfully to send there? The thought of my items just being destroyed is awful.

About a month ago, the Trump administration got rid of the de minimis exemption, whereby packages valued under $800 could slide in without import duties. Now there's a backlog as the government can't process all of this paperwork, leading to UPS just destroying packages
