Sad to hear this via Jane Fonda overnight. One of a generation of absolute Queens whom I grew up watching and admiring. According to Fonda, Keaton was very modest about her own acting talent in spite of winning the Oscar.

We, as human educators, learn over years when to support and when to back off and offer that space. A Chatbot follows a programmatic checklist and can never achieve that level of intuitive presence.

Many of us teaching literary texts are seeing this and it can be a real obstacle to engagement, growth and, ultimately, empathy (which is what we're all about in the Humanities).
