Reasons to watch it though: All Black cast (female lead— Megalyn Echikunwoke — is b/w biracial but Black presenting I guess); spiritual representation; Black characters in a romantic pairing with chemistry and depth; AESTHETIC

Watching Stay (2025)… they should’ve told this story better. They buried the lead of a very obvious set of circumstances that deteriorated the protagonist couple’s relationship and must’ve thought that arranging the story telling this way would make for a more interesting film but it falls flat.

Went on a school trip with my lil sister to the PA Renn Faire. The actors were pleasant and performed well, and I’ve wanted to go since I was a kid. But I was reminded of how it’s still just another celebration of colonial history by the end when everyone was like “God save the Queen”. 😭
