In Zimbabwe, Prof Dixon Chibanda lost a patient to suicide over a $10 bus fare. This inspired @friendshipbench.bsky.social, which has now helped hundreds of thousands.

Through global partnerships, King’s is improving access to mental health care. #WorldMentalHealthDay

One of the most important mental health books I've read in the last decade, Darren McGarvey's Trauma Industrial Complex is absolute 🔥
www.penguin.co.uk/books/439534...

Skip the subtitle, it's a much wider analysis of trauma and lived experience in mental health. Takes on lots of unquestioned dogmas

Whistler visited Venice in 1879 after losing all his money with his famous libel suit against John Ruskin. This scene is superbly arranged: smoke from coloured flares adds to the drama of night-time view of the Grand Canal and the Santa Maria della Salute.

Smiling tremor: a rare twist in essential tremor or possibly task specific tremor. I recently learned about a man whose cheeks would tremble every time he smiled. This paper just dropped in Movement Disorders Clinical Practice by Chen and colleagues on the topic. @sfn.org
