Quite!! Never freezes, doesn’t rain that much, hardly ever creeps above 30 - and when it does, it cools back down at night. Never stickily humid…I grew up in subtropical Africa; I am now so acclimatised to Cape Town I could never live there again!

It turns out that using purified virions for modelling virus transmission is not such a good idea: HPV gets transmitted in clumps associated with intercellular matrix; HAV and BTV in vesivles; plant viruses in huge quasicrystals....
