Listen, I have been cycling through the Siskel and Ebert run, sequentially, starting in the late 70s when they were on Chicago PBS, and what am I supposed to do when Allen’s movies are on the show and getting praised? Am I supposed to be mad at them?

Like, it is meaningless to other people, full stop. Do what you want, either way. Besides, there was a time Before the bad thing happened, and if you want to know about the culture at that time, you’ll probably have to watch Manhattan and Annie Hall! Or don’t! It is all voluntary

Pretty confused by how TRON became a big-budget movie franchise. Was it a bit hit when it came out? No. Did it become a big hit on video/TV? Also no. Do people have fond nostalgic memories of it? Eh kinda but not really. Was it secretly great and critically acclaimed? No again
