i never understood the "[insert character] I will get you out of there!!!" thing people say, because if i don't like a series i probably also don't like the characters at all.

but then i read jjk. mahito and nanami i WILL get you out of there.

adding stuff i'm def way more okay with, even if it might still bum me out as a player to not have that as part of my original playthru, but yeah changing stuff that fully recontextualizes the game....

yeah 😭😭😭😭 and I'm usually not a Day One player but I was genuinely excited! and had so many nice things to say about the game! the first time playthru is also so important to me. wish they had just let it cook a little longer rather than let a bunch of people have an incomplete experience

people were mentioning how games like bg3 also made ending changes/additions in patches so i guess it is not without precedent but yeah I just kind of disagree with it on principle

i specifically did not play in early access and avoided basically all spoilers so i could experice the game as intended but oops guess i should have also waited a few months after release for them to finish the story. like don't pmo

i loved hades 2 (even tho i had critiques of the writing/story) but supergiant making major changes to the ending now, after the full release of the game.... i really fucking hate that. even if i think the new ending is better (i do) i cant go back and change my original experience of the game
