they can be so snooty about it! and really if you make it so different that the fans dont like it, and try to make it mass appealing to people who dont care about it, then you are you even really making it for? disappoint everybody

i feel that, makes me wonder if this script was written as an original film, and they forced the title and some reshoots on it to try to trick people into paying to watch it as an IP

me too, i was interested to see how to turn the complex game plot into a film, instead they turned it into a groundhog day / edge of tomorrow deal in a different place with different people

for real, live action adaptations are usually pretty useless to start with, like even in this case i kinda WANTED it to be just a needless shot for shot remake of a game i liked even tho thats pointless. instead it wasnt even that, like if they did The Lion King and there wasnt even lions in it

they did but its like.. just the title??.. theres literally nothing similar about it except that peter stormare is there. all different characters all different plot. its not even at a cabin in the snow. i cant figure out why this movie exists with the title Until Dawn

really why even adapt something thats already cinematic with famous movie actors in it?? i dont even think you can legally call this an adaptation. also the actors in the game were more famous than anyone in the movie, like why not call up rami and hayden?
