I saw the results earlier then your post about rigging and…. How on earth could you rig that kind of overwhelming percentage????
So glad that UK aligned times with the EU. Made things so much easier.
β€œYeah, this is my cat. Cat, these are my folks.” Done.
Annoyingly, this is one of those words that I struggle to spell.

β€œRubbish bin”?

I volunteer at a cat rescue and the cats are often fascinated by the bin into which I have emptied the cat litter. It must stink. Cat: β€œoooh, interesting smell, let me stick my whole head in there.”
I then call to them to not climb in…

β€œCommerce” is such a weird word to use.
Not sure many people in the UK have had a career in β€œcommerce” so it would be unlikely as a job.
Yep, I got the β€œmaudlin”pronunciation and was thinking it must be β€œsinjun”

There is cultural class (eg old money in the upper class) and financial class.

I’m very annoyed that very posh Nigel Farage (went to expensive posh school, stockbroker) has somehow defined himself as man of the people. (Because he drinks ale? Not sure.)
This is the second β€œwhat is class in US” discussion I’ve seen in 3 days. I enjoyed this suggestion someone made:
β€œReally we just gotta redo the whole classification: β€œI make a living,” β€œcomfortable,” and β€œrich [nobody will ever self select this one]””

I’m from UK so it’s v complicated for me (cont
Wow. Ulrike Derickson negotiating with terrorists to free hostages and paying for fuel. Plus more. How brave.
Yep. I was just adding the 19th /20th century data I had for my family to agree with others saying the same thing.
Ok. I’ve got Magdalen (Oxford spelling), Caius (goes with Gonville) but St John? Like Norman St John-Stevas?

possibly the funniest political moment of the year
Kemi Badenoch’s ability to plant political time bombs that blow up in the face of the party she leads is truly unparalleled.

What’s particularly impressive here is she could have found this out herself before raising the profile of this issue at PMQs.

Me, not trolling my relative to ask why their son didn’t make it into the hot priests calendar. (Son left the priesthood, so a double troll.)

This is growth.
I have read enough Menswear Guy β€œhow much it costs to make” threads to get that.

(I knew, but I like that he puts real life facts into it.)
Would they get a Union flag? A tattoo of King George III? I think not. Same rules, surely?
Had this conversation with a teen student a few years ago. About Corbyn (who I didn’t much like but didn’t hate either) but could have been about anyone. My main point: humans are flawed. All of us. Yes, including that person you think is amazing.
I gave the benefit of the doubt in the first 3 months (it was summer, they ended Bibby Stockholm use, they put proposal for renters’ rights) but it’s been downhill since then. Now I mostly have scorn and anger.
Part of my reaction to stuff like this is β€œnatural” doesn’t mean safe. Belladonna is natural! Etc.

Also in 2002 (?) the EU started regulating supplements the way they did food. I know of one company that struggled to comply with the new laws. Which showed how much the regulation was needed.
