I love London so much. So much.

Did you know that London has the lowest level of ethnic violence of any city of comparable size in the world?

Multiculturalism has in fact worked here. They just don’t want it to be true because we happen to have a Muslim mayor.
In London, hate will never win.
Exeter Sound Walks
I’m thinking of leading Sound Walks in Exeter every couple of months from October.
Listening together through the seasons is intriguing and revealing. I love it.
If this appeals to you, please send me a sentence of support. This will help me raise some funds for the series.

If you can watch this and then think ‘I won’t share because that might be putting myself on the line’ then you know what you’d have done if you were in Germany when your Jewish neighbours were being loaded into to cattle trucks. Nothing. Please share - it’s our ‘I’m Spartacus moments
Today, the UK government intends to ban the non-violent protesters Palestine Action as a "terrorist" group, exposing anyone supporting them to terrorism charges. In 2 days, 380,000 people have watched this video on YT alone.

It gets worse - apparently some people have been adding comments like this when explaining their reason for proposing #StormBP, #StormEquinor, #StormExxon, #StormShell and #StormBigOil on this Met Office form: www.metoffice.gov.uk/forms/name-o...

So the UK Met Office is inviting people to suggest up to 5 names for storms.

And apparently lots of people have been suggesting "Storm Bigoil", along with BP, Equinor, Exxon & Shell...

This is obviously appalling & definitely not to be emulated via this link: www.metoffice.gov.uk/forms/name-o...
This is a Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra Participate project, part of BSO's partnership with the University of Exeter.
In the photo without the harp, the human musicians are so much towards the edge that bsky crops them out unless you click to view the full picture...
The Earthlings Family Orchestra has been creating music to, with & about the accompanying ambiences of Exeter's Lower Hoopern Valley. It's been interesting and surprising. I'll write it up soon. In the meantime, these silent pics show a little of the space we shared & the space we made.
Sarah and I are compost buddies.
I'll never tire of reading about what Sarah Finch and her colleagues have achieved with unshowy commitment, care & tenacity.

Little update on Facebook's decision to shut my account.
‘Fallow requires things to emerge in their own time’ says Hugh Nankivell whose ‘Fallow’ duets between pipe organ and pianet, harmonium and melodica. The pianet, a poor-man’s Fender rhodes, is small but heavy, and all but obsolete. Sat 14 June. #ECSLostandFound artworkexeter.org.uk/event/lost-a...

Happy #WildSalmonDay!

You can help us put on the Salmon Run to raise awareness of the plight of wild salmon in the River Exe - AND fund habitat improvements in their spawning grounds - with a donation to our appeal. Aviva will double all donations.

'...the keys of the organs become worn with the finger fall of those who have played them like the wear of footsteps on stone steps over centuries or the cutting of desire paths... a record of the use of the instrument over several hundred years...' Paul Whitty about his music for ECS on 14th June.
