Sadly we're not going to get anywhere until FF/FG realise that those people outside Citywest will NEVER vote for them, and, in fact, hate them much more violently than just about any person on the left does. Also just to be clear they're never going to realise that.

Prime time debate. Necessary? God no. Useful? not really, except for vibes. Picture it, 3am, several scoops have been had, crowd dwindling. One group are outside trying to calm down someone who is annoyed at things she can’t articulate, the other are inside calmly discussing the nature of existence

Tonight people are going to push a narrative of "why are immigrants taking our homes/healthcare/stuff" instead of the actual narrative which should be "why don't we have what we need, why have our governments failed us?". And it's convenient for the govt to have this be the message.

Either a colossal intelligence failure, which is awful, or deliberate inaction, which is also awful. Senior gardaí should be hauled out to account for themselves - they could have gotten people killed
