This effed up my morning, gave me no way to contact my wife if something was wrong with the kids and apparently knocked out a lot of stores' ability to run credit cards etc.

Who does Johnson think he’s fooling?! Dude sent the House home early to dodge a vote on releasing the Epstein files, and he’s keeping them away for the same reason.

Congress is still getting paid, but Johnson won’t bring the House back to fund the military. This is on him, not the Democrats.

We have (so many) questions. Is this part of a quid pro quo? Will the Qataris have their own facilities and security inside one of our bases? This needs some VERY serious oversight, if Republicans in Congress feel like doing their jobs at any point.

They shot a reverend in the head with pepper balls while he was praying in front of an ICE facility. If that doesn’t tell you where we are as a country, nothing will.

it occurs to me that part of the (maybe unintended) genius of Frog costumes being the new gear for anti-ICE protests is that it really makes it hard for the alt-right to use Pepe cleanly. In fact, if you see them use Pepe, comment back, "So glad you're on the anti-ICE bandwagon! Frogs forever!"

I'm at the scene where ICE abducted multiple people from Lincoln and Foster this morning.

A WGN producer was among the people taken, allegedly because she was among a group of bystanders who tried to intervene. ICE agents hit this car while making their getaway.
