Queer disabled quilter. She/her. Free Palestine. Neurodivergent? Queer? Joint pain? Go and read up on Ehlers Danlos Syndrome. Yes, even if you're not all that flexible these days. Even if it's not you, it's probably some of your friends.

Also, don't miss Vajra's incredibly powerful acceptance speech
(fitting given how many of Le Guin's speeches were and are so unforgettable):
youtu.be/Y5h5ZDjWPTc?...
Oh, dear. Are you all arrived safely?
No, you claimed there was a 1% chance of the foetus surviving. That's untrue. You haven't shown a single case of a fallopian tube pregnancy being viable, and this one case of an abdominal pregnancy would still leave the overall survival rate for non-fallopian types of ectopic pregnancy at 0%.
This is your idea of proof that ectopic pregnancies can be successfully delivered? Someone who had a pregnancy in the liver, which was removed by surgery?

May I ask where you're getting these links from? They're not saying what you seem to think they say. Is someone giving you these links?
And even that was a lie. There was a 0% chance the embryo would make it. You can't host a pregnancy in a fallopian tube, and you can't move an embryo.
Yikes. There's always a new way for the US gun situation to shock us all over again.
I always wished we'd seen more of their little meetings!
That's because I already have moderate/severe ME since flu in 1997, and that causes cognitive dysfunction. I'm now ill, on my own (my partner didn't catch it, he's gone to his flat), hoping this covid infection doesn't destroy the tiny amount of progress I'd made recently.
I fucked up my covid precautions a week ago, by which I mean we were masked, the vet was masked, all in FFP3s, the window was open, the air purifier was right by the vet. But I'd forgotten to clean and replace the filter, and I forgot not to stay in the room afterwards instead of airing it.
My goodness so GLOSSY
Beautifully stripy, excellent chin.
And looks incredibly joyful!

I have diagnosed, and carefully applied all of the knowledge of sixteenth century physike to the cure of this patient. And yet he insists that he remains un-cured.
Could it be that the state of my art and understanding is insufficient?
Inconceivable. The patient must be wilfully malingering.
Doctors blaming patients for not getting better (1541 edition):
Hah, that's definitely us!
Next time I need to fill in my occupation as "disabled", I will instead write "living idly and voluptuously".

They always think we're having more fun than we really are, don't they.
Excellent prawning, beautiful torbie stripes, full marks all around!
Pet photos to cheer me up while I've got covid, please! @robinjohnson.bsky.social has mercifully escaped infection so far, so he's at his flat with the cat, and I am missing them both dreadfully. He is of course sending me regular photos, and the odd video of her disporting herself in the catnip.
It was fine, they called back quickly. It was more about not wanting to spend the day in waiting mode.

Give that fine catterbeast of yours a kiss from me, and inform her that she is to look after you properly and not stomp on the painful bits.
By the way, you mentioned sudden menopause and that it's all a bit new. I'm perimenopausal (because that's so much fun with suddenly developing type 1 diabetes at 47), and the main thing is BEWARE MENOPAUSE GROUPS, they're usually dodgy as fuck. And unfortunately sometimes necessary.
Yay, well done you! Has she been non-angelic lately?

I'm nerving myself to follow your example from yesterday and shower, although I've just left a message for the diabetes nurses to call back and discuss what on earth my blood sugars are doing in response to the covid now. Oops.
They never warn you, do they! I always freak out a bit over bruising. Sympathies on the pruniness. How are you, your mother and Squoofins today?

"And headwear, sir?"
"My lesbian canal boater, I think, Jeeves. I'm feeling daring."
"It is a truth universally acknowledged, that any publication owned by Rupert Murdoch, must inevitably descend into trite rage bait." Jane Austen, probably.

On the other hand, a "Lesbian Canal Boater" sounds like a rather dashing item of summer headwear.
