This #marxistmonday it's important to remember that its a hostage exchange - not a release - and that 2,000 of the 10,000 Palestinian captives being held in illegally in Israeli camps are being swapped for 20 Israelis being held in Gaza.
Release ALL Palestinian hostages now!

The Red Cross is overseeing the logistics of the prisoner exchange, including the transfer of Palestinian detainees to a designated medical point in Khan Younis, set up inside Nasser Hospital specifically for this day.

Doctors and nurses at the site say they are standing by to receive the prisoners, who will undergo medical checks before being reunited with their families.

Thousands of Palestinians have gathered outside the hospital, waiting to welcome the released detainees. Witnesses say the atmosphere is one of anticipation and relief, with families arriving from across Gaza in hopes of seeing their loved ones.

Medical staff say prisoners released in previous exchanges often arrive exhausted, weak and malnourished, after months in detention under harsh conditions. Many are also described as mentally drained from their time in custody.

My Mum is 81 and my Dad is 84... both looking great and still fit and active (despite the multiple cancers & diabetes). I am very much in denial about either of them ever dying - and am thankful for every day I still have with them ❤️

Honestly, it’s exhausting that people think Gazans should only ask for help to survive to eat, to stay alive but not to dream, to study, or to rebuild their lives. Wanting education, safety, and a future isn’t greed. It’s being human.

The media narrative currently developing is: Hamas won't disarm... the inference being: Hamas are to blame.
