Sorry folks, I have to do the gross thing and actually remind folks I sell games.

Pick up an assortment of solo, system neutral, or even -gasp- honest to god, multi-player TTRPGs on our website or through a variety of online stockists.

Step 1: read the primer
Step 2: pre-order DIE: LOADED
Step 3: grab the RPG Quickstart at the same time

Step 4: ...Take your friends on an intense but cathartic emotional journey in your own personal fantasy world?

October 20th is the order cut off for DIE: LOADED, sequel to the three-time Hugo-nominated DIE. I've pulled together a short primer it with all the info you need on it - what it is, previews, full cover details (check out our sketch variant!) and more. Go nose! Join our party. It's an experience.
DIE: Loaded
The sequel to the three-times Hugo-nominated, award winning dark fantasy comic, DIE.

The interview's great, and you should join the game jam, but here on MY feed, we celebrate Rascal news using MY desperate, Friday-before-holiday graphics in their article 😅.

Seriously though, read the interview. 's good.

One hundred games is a heck of a lot of games to play, or even to own, but it's a staggering number to write, even if they're only a single page long. Chase chats to Grant Howitt, designer of Honey Heist and many other one page games, about the game jam he's running to celebrate the milestone.
One hundred one-page RPGs later, Grant Howitt isn’t ready to quit
Don’t you dare call it a legacy.

HEY. LOOK. QUICKSTART (with new cover. Same quickstart you can already get. But this one's comic book-sized. You know, like the comics.).
rowanrookanddecard.bsky.social
Time to storm into your local comic store and demand NOTHING BUT THE BEST (the new DIE Quickstart) and REFUSE ANYTHING LESS (than the new DIE Quickstart) because YOU'RE BETTER THAN THE REST (and so deserve the new DIE Quickstart)
Graphic reminding you to pre order DIE RPG. It's a black paper texture background, with red graffiti sprayed on it. The cover of the quickstart is centered, with the text DIE RPG quickstart edition at the top, and PRE ORDER NOW in all good comic stores*. In small text at the bottom the asterix is completed with *and probably some shite ones but that's not our fault.

Every time I want to open Bluesky in my browser I type "bs" and hit enter, and I think that keeps me honest.

Today is a day when arts degrees are worthless, but the product of those degrees is so valuable it would kill an entire industry if they were made to pay for it.
exstasisgames.bsky.social
No, because I want to play out all the preliminary stuff - casing the joint, intimidating/bribing cards, arranging the getaway route. I just want the actual heist to be the pay-off for that.
exstasisgames.bsky.social
Playing heists in TTRPGs *sucks* because to make it interesting your plans have to go awry. So you're forced into a fail-state. I know many games handle this with flashbacks, but heists are an expression of skill and competence, and for me the scrambling to recover from near-failure is dissonant.
exstasisgames.bsky.social
I think I just realised my ideal heist is researching, planning preparing... and then not really playing the heist - I'd be happy with dice rolls heavily stacked in the players' favour (good prep), only playing scenes where there's a problem to solve.

what's your favorite part about playing a heist? asking for Very Scientific Research Purposes
exstasisgames.bsky.social
Planning it, and having some parts of the plan *actually work*.

YESSSSS!

I gave in and started watching ep 1 last night and actually, there's a lot of plot going on so it's quite well-paced. Not a chance in hell I'll finish watching by episode 2, though, so I'm going to fall back on this!

OK, 2035. I can work with that. I can have Plan Z (aka Weekend at Howitt's) in place by 2033 at the latest.
exstasisgames.bsky.social
Totally welcome. The more people I can spread this knowledge to, the better.

I have, regrettably, acquired quite a long list of things not to do when printing a book that at some point turned into a shorter list of things TO do, and ways to avoid embarrassing myself in front of printers. If you want any advice or questions answering, you're welcome to message me.

Hey, bc I haven't mentioned this in a while, I am (I've been told) a damn good podcast guest, enjoy doing 'em, & can talk about a wide range of stuff.

I enjoy most talking about stuff from an artistic, trans/queer, &/or Jewish lens.

DM me/email me at spider at NerdyKeppie.com :]

A test pour of my new bookends mold, which has Too Many Bubbles, but it features a picture of my wife, a white woman with blonde curls, asleep and snuggling a red-nosed white pibble with freckles, and on the right hand side, a sleeping black and brown hound with grey on his muzzle, tucked in under a white blanket.

My red work crocs are kinda visible at the bottom of the image.

Nah, I'm gonna say "draw my dog" has an implied "the actual dog, this dog, the way he looks".
exstasisgames.bsky.social
I just want to make a series of interviews about the dogs of TTRPG writers.
exstasisgames.bsky.social
I sort of want to watch the new Critical Role but I do not think I want to watch 4 hours of character intros. Has someone done a highlights reel yet?

@sugarpigblog.bsky.social. Introducing the IMPOSTROPHE, a punctuation mark for all the writers out there who need a way of representing their impostor syndrome on the page...
A comma with two "perspiration" marks and a question mark sparking out from the dot
