It's like when our oldest was born in 2002 and I tried to convince my wife that our kid's middle name had to be Ichiro. (I somehow lost that debate.)

I saw LOTS of right-wingers on social media all mad about this and saying they should be arrested. But Oregon law allows public nudity in many circumstances, a topic that we wrote about A LOT when I was a reporter at the Ashland newspaper, where folks liked to get naked in Lithia Park.

I'll add that she's a Running Start student who's doing classes at Everett Community College and has a high GPA I couldn't have dreamed of as a bored, struggling high school student.

It kind of robs me of the job of being a nagging parent, but I'm grateful for that.

Her, with a disdainful teen tone: "I'm literally doing it right now."

I didn't call her on her tone because she used "literally" perfectly in her response. And that makes me, a writer who is paid to be picky about grammar, happy enough.
