I keep a pot or a thermos of the stuff at my desk and usually refill it in the middle of the day. Weekends are for tea in addition to the coffee.
Evenings turn to beer, wine, and/or liquor.
I know this diet will either kill me young or make me one of those 110-year-olds with a secret trick.

Trump has no legal authority, "standing" or otherwise, to order the killing of people in international waters for unsubstantiated accusations of non-capital crimes.

Under my Standing Authorities as Commander-in-Chief, this morning, the Secretary of War, ordered a lethal kinetic strike on a vessel affiliated with a Designated Terrorist Organization (DTO) conducting narcotrafficking in the USSOUTHCOM area of responsibility — just off the Coast of Venezuela. Intelligence confirmed the vessel was trafficking narcotics, was associated with illicit narcoterrorist networks, and was transiting along a known DTO route. The strike was conducted in International Waters, and six male narcoterrorists aboard the vessel were killed in the strike. No U.S. Forces were harmed. Thank you for your attention to this matter!!!!!!

I think the abdication of the senate, personally manifested in the loss of like 10 GOPers like McCain/Romney/Burr/Shelby between 2017 and 2025, is what really blew things up. The Trump I senate enforced the natsec guard rails more or less while picking up the domestic political dollars on the floor.

Here is an enduring challenge in my field, foreign policy. For decades, there was a broad and bipartisan consensus of US foreign policy abroad, within which presidents would vary. Things like "treaties will be honored" and "basing commitments will last as agreed to by our predecessor", predictable.

To be completely fair, I doubt Teddy Roosevelt or Jimmy Carter could broker peace there as long as Netanyahu and Hamas are in charge, but never doubt Trump's ability to think he's somehow special.
