My interview on CBC's Power and Politics: because of growing street protests & heavy geopolitical losses, the Islamic Republic is in a heavily vulnerable position. Regime collapse is not imminent, but this is extremely hard to predict.

EXCLUSIVE: Leaked WhatsApp messages show Labour MPs urging govt to leave X, arguing that it should "show direction to others in the UK"

The MPs said X owner Elon Musk is "fascist" and that the platform's AI tool, Grok, had put "children in harm's way"

The International Court of Justice will open public hearings in the genocide case brought by the Gambia against Myanmar next week.

Here is the first of what I hope will be a series of analytical pieces on some technical legal issues which the Court may wish to address.
With public hearings in the Gambia v. Myanmar ICJ case beginning on Jan. 12, @adhaque.bsky.social argues that consideration of an inference of genocidal intent from a “pattern of conduct” is not exclusive of other sources of evidence to establish intent.

Proving Genocide: Patterns of Conduct
In Gambia v. Myanmar, patterns of conduct remain one, but only one, vital source of evidence for inferring genocidal intent.

This is the one "factually true but people are convinced of the opposite" thing that I never get over.
every republican president destroys the economy
2025 is now, officially, the worst year for job creation outside of recession since 2003.

I've been watching this happen on the left and right for some time, and it always leaves a trail of harm impacting innocent people. Just stop.
Social media sleuths are doxxing ICE officer Jonathan Ross, but as usual, posting everything from data broker sites, getting lots of things wrong, and encouraging harassment of people with no ties to Ross. Anyway, Kenny from El Paso would like me to ask you to stop emailing him.

The incessant need to justify the regime's actions is so absolutely pathetic.

According to DHS' own guidelines, lethal force is prohibited against a moving vehicle unless strictly necessary.

It is not true that the cops are allowed to kill you if you don't stop.

Tomorrow is the 5th anniversary of the January 6th attack on the U.S. Capitol.

I’m proud of the work we did on the House January 6th Committee.

January 6th should’ve been the end of a political movement based on a cult of personality, conspiracism, extremism & lies. Instead, it is now in power.

I see we're debating the agency of children in terrorism again. It's interesting: in this case, the use of "females". Could have said "woman" (if he really believed she was an adult at 15) or could have said "girl, but of course that would undermine his position.
