“Power is of two kinds. One is obtained by the fear of punishment and the other by acts of love. Power based on love is a thousand times more effective and permanent then the one derived from fear of punishment.”

For those who really believe Netanyahu is remotely popular with Israelis. Glad this got captured. Hopefully Bibi is going to finally go to jail.

"Worry about their outfit every day"

People worry because they don't want to end up making a terrible mistake by getting to 54 and thinking they're still young end edgy by calling themselves "Kid Rock" while wearing what can only be described as adult onesies.

Take a moment to marvel at this LGBT Britain - Trans Report from 2018 by Stonewall. When I say marvel, I mean truly gaze in wonder at how little has changed since this report was done.

But really it will mean nothing if they don’t say “look, we can’t plug this gaping hole in our economy if we don’t rejoin our nearest and biggest trading block. And in a world where we need strong partnerships, we can no longer afford to be isolated from Europe. We must rejoin to improve things”
finl3y.bsky.social
If taxes are to go up and we’re not going to make the case to rejoin the EU then this problem is not going to be fixed. Why should working people pay to plug a gap in the economy caused by people like Farage who used it as a way to enrich themselves?

No. People still being there and shaping policy are shaping policy in the cesspit of far right misinformation and disinformation which should alarm anyone who wants to see effective and coherent policy happen

Leave and let die also seems like a slogan that needs to be heavily pinned to Farage for brexit if you ask me.

This is such an odd stance. The issue is about how to stop Reform, not wait until they get in and spend the next few years preparing for it. If they get in, there won’t be much we can do about their plans. The task now is to stop their rise.

“Many children coming out as trans now face waiting until they are in their forties to receive any form of transition-related healthcare on the NHS.”
As someone in their 40s who started this journey late because of section 28, trans care has stymied for decades

"The administration is doing dumb things, this proves they will fail."

1. They are not as dumb as you think in the areas that matter to them: grabbing power.

2. Being dumb is a feature, not a bug, of authoritarianism. Hiring based on loyalty does that.

3. This thinking is what leads to inaction.
