New piece.

The data presented by @thejcpa.bsky.social and @counterhate.com about antisemitism on X is stark: it is being spread to hundreds of millions of people.

Not just antisemitism, but OVERT antisemitism. And that shift means far more than people realize. It won't be long before it leaves X.
Overt Anti-Jewish Hate is On the Verge of Going Mainstream
The combination of mainstreamed conspiracy theories and overt hate on X is close to transforming America's relationship with Jews.

New piece.

A long deep dive piece into the reasons beyond the punditry and headlines as to why Harris and Democrats as a whole failed in 2024.

I firmly believe this is about far more existential, psychological, and structural reasons than it has been depicted as. Here’s why.
The Deeper Reasons Democrats Lost
It wasn't just that Trump got more votes. It wasn't just that Harris had lower turnout. A deep dive into the psychological, existential, and systemic reasons Harris and Democrats didn't win in 2024.

We have gotten so used to Great Replacement becoming normalized that most people hardly noticed that a racist, antisemitic, xenophobic conspiracy theory popularized by mass shooters and 4chan trolls is now government policy.
The U.S. State Department is repeating a white nationalist conspiracy theory.

On Friday, it claimed that “mass migration poses an existential threat to Western civilization.”

That line comes straight from the Great Replacement myth: the lie that immigration is a plot to erase white populations.

The easiest way to see that Democrats don’t understand the threat Republicans pose is that they aren’t acting like their lives literally depend on winning.

I think part of what we’re seeing with the backlash on the right against Trump is that he’s now being seen more and more as part of the establishment, which is very different than his first term.

This is not necessarily a good thing, as it’s becoming clear the alternative may be even worse.

It's hard to focus on extremists without sounding as whacky as they do, but I am convinced that it isn't a coincidence that Kasparian and Fuentes have come out with very similar talking points, both centered around the same topic within days of each other.

And Kasparian on Carlson's show btw.

Here is Fuentes literally arguing for National Socialism.

Lest you think it sounds silly or he has no actual space to succeed here, he has been laying the groundwork of propagandizing to the anti-Zionist left since Oct 7th.

So have many other far right influencers. And they've succeeded.

It is a cruel, Orwellian joke that the people who most advocated for the hostages to stay in bondage to advance a genocidal war are the same people who take credit for supporting them.

Nothing is more painful in our community than this, we are living in a backwards reality.

Every day a new scandal from the past to the present erupts. The pattern is not some commentary on a set of institutions or leaders.

It is about the rot at the core of almost all our institutions and our leadership.

At its core, this is why fascism is here. The rot has rotted.

Any concern Trump has for Jews is and has always been strictly performative and utilitarian.

And even his weak defense of Jews is ultimately temporarily, for as long or as short it benefits him.
In a press gaggle today, Trump refused to condemn Tucker Carlson for having Nick Fuentes on his show. He went further, refusing to even condemn Fuentes himself.

🚨 Calling all American Jewish leaders and organizations: Tell the president this must stop. Our lives are at stake.

Lest you think Greene has changed her ways, here she is refusing to denounce Nick Fuentes, suggesting Bash have him on her show, and lying about having known him before she appeared at his conference.

I'm sorry, but being cancelled for getting close to neo-Nazis isn't woke, it's just a sign of how unwoke we've all become that the Overton Window has shifted so far that it can go this far before anyone faces consequences for bigotry.

It's amazing that Gilligan wasn't thinking of AI when he wrote Pluribus since the hivemind so accurately displays how ChatGPT & others interact with users.

It makes sense, though. In both cases, the goal is complete placation to hook, with the real goal being to use us for the larger system itself.

This (and every other state where it happens) will be the big story of the midterms and even more so the presidential election.

I understand people don’t want us to be doomers. But we can do two things: the more likely we are to win the harder we have to work to ensure the elections aren’t stolen.
