He sits in the waiting room of a hospital all night while Steve gets scans done. They have a little bonding moment in the hospital after Steve wakes up and that night everything changes. The next day, when Steve gets out of the hospital, Eddie takes him back to his hotel so he can watch over him.

Eddie hates the way Steve lets the buckle bunnys hang off of him, and Steve hates that Eddie has gotten extremely cocky over the years. But when Steve falls off a bull one night and doesn’t get up, Eddie’s the first to run out there to make sure he’s okay.
